The Chiropractic Department exists to be of service to the Stockbridge-Munsee Community and the surrounding areas. It is here to educate and offer patients another choice in their health care. Patients do not need a referral from another health professional to see a Chiropractor. Chiropractors are not medical doctors; they use no drugs or surgery. Chiropractic works with the body's own natural ability to heal itself. Chiropractors feel that by removing areas in the spine that are stuck or fixated, creating movement, will initiate the healing process. The removal of these fixated areas in the spine will help the many messages from the brain to the body and back to the brain flow more freely. When this happens, a person will experience less pain, less stress, and better health.
Chiropractors are trained to help people with musculo-skeletal problems; such as, neck and back pain, muscle pain, auto/sports/work-related injuries, headaches, arthritic pain, arm/leg pain, whiplash, carpal tunnel, painful joints, hip and knee pain, and some TMJ problems. Chiropractors can also help in the care and prevention of spinal problems; this is done by looking at a patient's life style, work, and habit patterns, then making suggestions on changing areas that are hurting them. Chiropractors encourage people to take charge of their health by taking better care of themselves through proper rest, exercise, adequate water, an eating plan that keeps them healthy, and, of course, regular spinal checkups as a preventive measure in their health care.
Please call the clinic if you have any further questions about Chiropractic and how it can help you, ask for Dr. Wargo.
